Welcome to the Modern Xplorer

I've wanted to start a blog for a long time. My quest is twofold. First, I want to write about the things I like (movies, music, books, etc). Second, I'd like to share some of my very amateur travel photography. In upcoming blog posts, you can expect anything from travel stories, gear recommendations, music mixtapes, and movie reviews. A quick disclaimer; I am not a professional writer or photographer by any stretch of the imagination. I simply want to write about the things I like and share that stuff with you guys. I'm excited to see where this goes.
